The Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships (DANFS) is the official reference work for the basic facts about ships used by the United States Navy. When the
USS Pasig (AO-89) was a fleet replenishment oiler in the service of the United States Navy. The lone ship in her class, she was the first of only two U.S. Naval vessels to be named for the Pasig River which flows through Manila on the Philippine Island of Luzon. This list catalogs the most honored US Naval vessels of the Second World War. It is placed in descending order of earned Battle Stars; descending accorded unit recognitions; descending ship size by type; and ascending hull number. It contains only vessels that earned fifteen or more Battle Stars for World War II service.
